Most free QR sites give you a code that redirects through their server. If they shut down or start charging, every printed code you own stops working. These are static — the destination is written into the pattern itself, so nothing can break it.

Test it before you print it
Scan every code with a real phone before it goes anywhere permanent. That is true of any generator, including this one. Thirty seconds of checking beats reprinting a thousand flyers.
Which error correction level?
Medium is right for almost everything. Higher levels let a code still scan when part of it is scratched, dirty or covered — useful on packaging or outdoors — but they make the pattern denser, so it needs to be printed larger to stay readable.
How small can you print it?
A rough rule: the code should be at least a tenth of the scanning distance. Read from 50cm, print it about 5cm across. And leave the white margin around it — that quiet zone is part of the code, not decoration.
Static versus dynamic
These are static codes: the destination is encoded in the pattern. That means it works forever and depends on nobody, but it also cannot be changed once printed. If you need to repoint a printed code later, you need a dynamic one — that requires a server to redirect through, which is on our roadmap here rather than something we would pretend to offer today.
