Word to PDF

Turn a .docx into a clean PDF without uploading it anywhere, and without installing Word.

Read this first — it is a text converter

Headings, paragraphs, bold, italic and bullet lists convert cleanly. Tables, images, columns, headers and footers do not — they are skipped, and we tell you how many. For a pixel-perfect copy of a designed document, use Word's own "Save as PDF". For getting readable text out of a .docx quickly and privately, this is faster.

Why the type looks different

The PDF uses Helvetica rather than embedding your document's font. That keeps the file small and means it opens identically everywhere. Line breaks are calculated from the real Helvetica metrics, so wrapping and margins land correctly rather than approximately.

Nothing is uploaded

The .docx is opened and converted inside your browser. A Word document often holds things you would not want on a stranger's server — draft contracts, salary letters, client notes. Watch your network tab if you want to confirm it.

Typography is mapped, not dropped

Curly quotes, en and em dashes, ellipses and arrows are converted to their closest plain equivalents rather than silently vanishing. You will see "quotes" and -- where Word had the typographic versions.
